4 November 2019 sees the agreement signing ceremony between Vinmec Central Park International Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) and Icon Group – Australia’s largest dedicated provider of cancer care; a step towards Vinmec’s commitment to enhance the quality of cancer diagnosis and treatment. The goals of the partnership between Vinmec and Icon Group is to redefine standards of cancer care in Vietnam.
Since its establishment in 2015, Icon Group has become Australia’s largest dedicated provider of cancer care. The Group’s cancer services encompass 36 cancer centres globally, including day oncology hospitals, advanced radiation oncology facilities and comprehensive multimodel cancer treatment services.
Under the collaboration with Vinmec Central Park International Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City), Icon Group will provide world – class oncology care in radiation and medical oncology treatment. Accordingly, Icon will provide Vinmec with international standard medical experts, remote radiotherapy treatment planning and audit tools, radiotherapy quality assurance systems and management of the oncology centre at Vinmec Central Park.
With the support of Icon Group, the oncology center will offered a high standard of personalized care. The cooperation agreement with Icon lays the foundation for Vinmec Central Park to build and develop an Oncology Center of Excellence in Vietnam along with the Cancer Center of Vinmec Times City. Previously, Vinmec Central Park has focused on investing in oncology with the most modern synchronous system in the world, including: Southeast Asia’s leading Truebeam NDS120HD V2.7 radiotherapy machine (Varian), MRI 3.0 System (GE Healthcare) (appended by VMCP). Vinmec Central Park also owns advanced multi-modal cancer examination and treatment technologies such as autologous immunotherapy for cancer treatment and cutting-edge radiotherapy techniques such as VMAT, SBRT and IMRT.
